COMPUTER TECHNICAL SUPPORT (Code: TechSupport)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides multi level technical support for diagnosing and fixing
software and hardware problem in Magister Teknologi Informasi department
environment (office, classes and laboratory)
2. Provides system administration for LAN authentification system.
3. Applies patches and updates needed to application software in MTI’s
computer.
4. Regularly monitor and check up computers and peripheral equipment in
the department, include; printers, tape and disk drives.
5. Make procedural and/or operational corrections as necessary and
advise staff on appropriate action.
6. Determine and report source of computer problems (hardware, software,
user access, etc.).
7. Document computer problems and resolutions for future reference.
8. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being
processed, stored or accessed.
9. Provide computer orientation to new company staff.
REQUIREMENT FOR COMPUTER TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Technical Skill Criteria :
• Knowledge of computer system backup requirements and procedures.
• Knowledge of computer input and output media.
• Ability to initialize and operate computer hardware and software systems.
• Ability to utilize computer operating systems utilities
• Knowledge of computer job control procedures.
• Ability to determine the nature of computer hardware and systems
software problems, and to communicate technical guidance and information
to users
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
• Work with staff requires interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with TCP/IP Protocol
• Familiar using Wireless Conectivity
• Familiar using Linux Operating System
• Familiar with File/Printer Sharing (SAMBA), Network File System and
Network Information System (NFS&NIS)
• Experienced with network cabling, subnetting and connectivity
Prerequirement : D3/S1 Teknik Informatika/Elektro/IlmuKomput

Non-technical Criteria:
• Must be able to communicate effectively with user and internal team
members.
